How renown works
Renown points are earned by doing things on the site — posting helpful comments, writing guides, organizing events, sharing screenshots, building a following, and trading on the marketplace.
Earn enough renown and you unlock titles you can display alongside your username. Some titles unlock by reaching a renown threshold; others unlock by completing a specific feat (like writing your first guide, or earning your 100th reaction).
What earns renown?
- Comments on guides, screenshots, events, and listings
- Guides you write and publish
- Events you organize on the calendar
- Screenshots you upload
- Reactions (hearts and helpful marks) on YOUR content from other players
- Followers you gain
- Marketplace listings you create and trades you complete
- Identity milestones — creating characters, joining a guild, becoming a guild leader, linking Discord, etc.
Cooldowns & daily caps
Some actions are capped per day with diminishing returns — your first comment of the day is worth more renown than your fifth. This keeps the site fun for everyone and discourages spam. The exact numbers aren't published; the cap is tuned over time.
Daily caps reset at UTC midnight.
Reversal
If you create something then quickly delete or cancel it, the renown you earned for that action is reversed. The exact window varies by action type. This keeps things fair — no spam-and-delete farming.
Tips
- Your day resets at UTC midnight, not your local midnight. Plan accordingly.
- Putting effort into one good comment beats spamming five low-effort ones — diminishing returns make sure of that.
- Some feats only fire once ever (your first character, first follower, etc.). Savor those — you only get them once.
